Would your business like to support Cairns’ Biggest Morning Tea?

March 9, 2010

Australia’s Biggest Morning tea is an annual fundraising activity to allow communities to raise money for Cancer Council Queensland.  Morning teas will be hosted throughout May, with the official date for 2010 falling on Thursday, 27 May.   Cairns’ signature event will be held on this day at the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon with everyone welcome to come along.  Your business is invited to take part and assist us to host Cairns’ Biggest Morning Tea.

Cairns’ biggest morning tea
The vision for Cairns’ Biggest Morning Tea is for an open event for all ages that people can enjoy for a long morning tea or a brief visit during a break from work.  Local caterers will provide an extensive range of morning foods for people to purchase, with proceeds going to the cause.  There will be entertainment, fundraising activities such as raffles and a great atmosphere.  Through intended media partnerships, the event will hopefully be well promoted in the lead up with a live radio broadcast taking place on the day.

How you can support
We are seeking the support of local businesses through:
– Sponsorship of equipment such as marquees, tables, chairs, cups, cutlery and plates.
– Catering including tea and coffee and morning tea ranging from a small plate to a manned stall.
– Donation of prizes for raffles, auctions and other fundraising activities planned for the event.

Opportunity for your business
Through being involved, your business will be widely recognised as a valued supporter of Cancer Council Queensland and a community contributor.  All contributions to the event will be publicly acknowledged.  Depending on your level of support, you will be invited to display your banners, brochures or other materials at the event  and have representatives attend.  There is also opportunity for your business to receive recognition through promotional materials and other advertising in the lead up to the day.

Conditions of support
As this is a community fundraising event, we ask that businesses participate in the spirit of fundraising, with profits going solely to Cancer Council Queensland.  Businesses are entitled to cover costs of any products made available at the morning tea, with these costs recovered from proceeds.  However, we hope your products and time can be donated to ensure low operating costs and maximum funds raised towards cancer control.

Promote your business and support Cancer Council Queensland by being part of this Cairns signature event for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
